I am Anja Schwegler, a Swiss illustrator, designer and maker, currently based in London.
Touch and the sensory experience with images lie at the centre of my practice. The weight and texture of paper, the feel of fabric, the rough texture of unglazed ceramics, the smooth and cold surface of glazed pieces - every one of my creations embody a sensory experience. Between me and the work as well as between the work and its viewer. Whether the outcome is a beer label, a bag, a tile or a book, my work is meant to be held in the hands of my audience.
